About our products
All the items featured on our web site have been carefully handcrafted by Faye Kim and her team of highly skilled jewelers. Production takes place on premises at the shop's studio and locally in Fairfield County, CT. Tight control over the manufacturing process allows us to control the production schedule so that we can accommodate our customers' needs. We strive to ensure that the quality of everything we sell meets our exacting standards. However, given the unique nature of many pieces, there will be natural and subtle variations in the gemstone color, detail and finish. Sales Tax
The sales tax charged depends on where the order is shipped. There will be a 6.35% sales tax collected ONLY on purchases delivered to Connecticut addresses (7% on individual items over $5000 shipped to CT only). You will be able to view the sales tax included in your order before you confirm your order.

Shipping
Orders placed before 3 p.m. EST Monday through Friday for in-stock items are processed and shipped that same day. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be processed the following Tuesday. All orders are carefully packaged and fully insured .

Return Policy
If you are not completely satisfied with any item you have purchased online, you may return it to us within 7 business days of receipt for a full refund.  For items not received within 7 business days of receipt, a store credit will be issued. The store credit can be used to purchase items online or in the store.  Returns received after 30 days will not be accepted.

Returns are handled via email. Please contact us and you will be mailed an (RMA) number. You will be emailed an RMA number within 24 hours (except weekends). Items being returned must be in new, unworn condition and in its original packaging and shipped insured and prepaid. Faye Kim Designs is not responsible for loss or damage of return shipments. Please package and insure accordingly.  Upon receipt, a full refund or a store credit will be issued less actual shipping charges.

If you received complimentary free shipping on your original order, a shipping charge will be deducted to cover the actual cost of this service.  Please see receipt for actual cost reference.

2011 Holiday Return Policy
All items purchased online in December 2011 may be returned until January 7, 2012.  If you are not happy with your purchase, or wish to exchange it, please return it to us unworn, in original condition and its original packaging by the January 7, 2011 for a full refund or credit less applicable shipping charges.

Special Orders
We do our best to have every item on our web site available for immediate shipment.  However due to the nature of our products, this is not always possible. If the piece you’re interested in is out of stock, we will contact you with an estimated shipping date.

  • If the item you are interested in is part of our regular inventory but temporarily out of stock, your order for this item will not be considered a special order.

  • A special order is an order customized for you – examples include but not limited to sizing a one-of-a-kind ring in your size, modifying the length of a necklace, earrings in a different metal or with a different stone, sizing bangles, changing from posts to clips, etc...

  • No personalized or special ordered items will be returnable or exchangeable.

  • Items purchased on our website may be returned or exchanged in our store under the same terms and conditions.

Order Information
You may cancel your order within 2 hours. Please be advised that because we often ship the same day, your purchase may already be en route, and you will be responsible for any shipping charges incurred.

Gift Wrap
At Faye Kim Designs, we offer beautiful gift wrap in our signature green gold boxes and ribbons as part of your purchase.

Repairs
Items purchased from Faye Kim Designs are guaranteed against defect for 90 days. If you have any repair issues, please contact us by phone or email and send the item back for inspection. Shipping and repair fees will vary.

Product care
Depending on how and how often you wear your jewelry, periodic professional inspection and cleaning is recommended.  Please call us for assistance to determine the best method for having your pieces cleaned and polished, pearls and beads restrung and other maintenance needs.

As a general rule, please avoid wearing your jewelry during activity that would expose it to risks.  Take care to protect your jewelry from impact against hard surfaces avoid contact with abrasive surfaces, perfumes, cosmetics, and household chemicals.  Even a diamond can chip if hit with enough force.  Many gemstones are delicate and can easily abrade and scratch other gemstones.  It is highly recommended that pieces be stored individually in a protective box, pouch or cloth when not being worn.

With proper care, your pieces can be enjoyed and treasured for years to come.
